I try to drill it into my teams that even though we can usually see the difference between 75% and 95%, most of the time our clients will never see the difference even when we point it out – coming together as a team to collectively decide when and where to go for it versus knowing when "just enough" is more than enough is a superpower.

Entirely. I’ve learned this from my partner who will point out every flaw in drywall or tile to me and then hem and haw about how it could have been so much better. And without fail, my response is always, I just don’t see what you see.

TL;DR. Don’t point out the flaws. No one sees them but you. 75% is outstanding. Striving for 95% as a default is a recipe for burnout and resentment.
